What are conversion connectors?؟

In piping systems, sometimes it may be necessary to reduce the size of the pipes, we use “conversion” to reduce the size of the pipe.
For example, when the main size of our pipelines is 2 inches, but we need to use 1 inch size, we take help from the conversion connection.

Types of transform connections

Conversion connections are divided into different types according to the environment in which they are used and operating conditions, which we describe below:

Boiling pot

Weld fittings, which are known as welded joints or soldered joints under pressure

There are connections that are used to connect pipes and various connections in piping systems.

Welding conversion fittings are usually made of carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, copper, nickel, etc.

And they are exclusively designed to withstand high pressure.

These connections are able to work with very high pressures and high temperatures.

Welded conversion fittings are known as the most important type of fittings in the piping industry.

Because they have the ability to connect to different points with different diameters and dimensions.
Also, these connections are usually easily replaceable and reshaped.

For this reason, they are very suitable for maintenance, repair and installation of piping systems.

Threaded conversion

Threaded conversion fittings are plumbing fittings that are used to connect two pipes or fittings with different types of threads.

These connections have one end with one type of thread such as male or female and the other end with a different type of thread.

It allows the connection of pipes or fittings with different types of threads and enables smooth and safe plumbing installation.

To use threaded conversion fittings, fittings with the appropriate thread type are screwed into a pipe end or fitting.

while the other end of the fitting is threaded into the pipe or other fittings.

This creates a strong bond that is leak and pressure resistant.

Co-centric rotation

Concentric conversion fittings are plumbing fittings used to connect two different sizes of pipe with a common center point.

These fittings have a larger opening on one side and a smaller opening on the other side, which allows concentrically connecting pipes of different sizes.

These fittings are usually used when there is a need to transfer from a pipe with a larger diameter to a pipe with a smaller diameter.

while maintaining the flow and direction of the transferred fluid or gas.

They are also used in situations where space is limited and a more compact connection is required
